Articles on: Leads and verification

Where lead data comes from

Contacts are sourced from publicly available and commercially available business information: company websites, public business listings and directories, and licensed business data providers.

Unilead targets people in a professional capacity at businesses — work addresses, business roles. It is a B2B tool and is not designed or intended for consumer marketing.

How the audience is assembled

  1. Companies are sourced against your brief
  2. Each is scored on how well it actually fits, with the reasoning recorded so you can see why it matched
  3. People in the roles you asked for are identified at those companies
  4. Contact addresses are found and verified

Ranking matters more than filtering. Rather than discarding anything imperfect, the audience is ordered best-first so you can see where quality falls off and decide where to stop.

Your obligations

The mail goes out in your name, from your domains, about your offer — so you are the sender. You are responsible for honouring opt-outs, being truthful about who you are, and complying with the rules in the markets you email into (GDPR and its national implementations, CAN-SPAM, and local equivalents).

Unilead provides the infrastructure and the guardrails. It does not transfer legal responsibility for your outreach.

Nothing here is legal advice — talk to your own counsel about your specific situation.
