Articles on: Leads and verification

Why were some leads excluded?

Several exclusions run automatically. All of them protect your sending reputation or keep you compliant.

Opt-outs

Anyone who has asked to be removed is suppressed across your entire account — every campaign, present and future, permanently. There is no override.

Already contacted

People reached on a previous campaign are excluded, so you never accidentally re-contact the same person with a different pitch.

Unverifiable addresses

Addresses that would bounce are held back. See What "verified" means.

Hostile gateways

Some mail gateways reliably reject or penalise cold outreach. Contacts behind them are detached before sending rather than burned through.

Dead domains

Domains that already failed to produce a usable contact are remembered, so audience refills stop re-grinding the same failures instead of finding you new people.

Excluding your own customers

If a current customer or partner appears in an audience, contact support with the domains to exclude and they will be suppressed.
